Is Traveling a waste of time?

Traveling is a route to finding yourself.

If you are someone who has traveled a bit, I am sure somewhere along the road this question might have come up.

Is traveling a waste of time?

Traveling makes you question everything around you even traveling itself. So these words flowed through me when this question hit me.

Sometimes I think all this traveling is waste of time but if Life is all about the journey than aren’t we all just traveling through time then?

Then why this comparison?

We cannot compare ourselves with the same lenses where we started as we have now grown and have become birds for whom we can never be captured again by the intricacies of the society.

We are free in our imagination, our paths and most importantly our journeys. We are onto a pathless path that is one of less traveled.

We are not followers anymore, we are the guides.

We might not have as much money when we die that someone who lived a default path but what we will have are memories that changed us every step of our journey to grow into a person who is aligned to their own true spirit and the nature around them making them truly human.

Because humans are explorers, navigators, researchers, leaders, innovators, rebels but not someone who spends their lives according to the rules of society in a cubicle waiting to die. Stop living that mundane life and take back your power.

One quote from Rebecca Solnit that really epitomize the essence of travel:

“That thing the nature of which is totally unknown to you is usually what you need to find and finding it is a matter of getting lost.”

Traveling is a route to finding yourself.
